Who are we?

The Surrey Scout Radio Team is a communications team made up of Explorer Scouts and Network from around the Surrey County. The Team runs training programmes at various levels for all its members, from Communicator Proficiency Badge courses for Scout and Explorers to the more advanced Net Operator courses for older Explorer Scouts and Network.

What do we do?

The Team assists with various aspects of event coordination, from providing traffic control services and marshalling for small Scout events right up to providing route communications and security coordination for large public events such as Strollerthon and the Great River Race in London. We also offer telephone networks, public address systems, search management, intercom systems, pagers and complete event control including the availability of two specially equipped control caravans. Please see the 'How we can help' section for furthur details of the services we offer.
